Dog Friendly Louisville: Indoor
My husband and I live by the saying, “Never leave the dogs behind.” We’ve always lived this motto but we never put it into words until we saw Brianna Madia on Instagram using it and living it best! She is our inspiration to find a way to take all of our pack on our adventures.
When we’re not out on the road on weekends or hiking in the mountains, we’re in Louisville looking for different adventures to do with the pups. Summer is great here in Louisville and there are always festivals, parks, and restaurant patios that are dog friendly that we frequently visit. When the weather is right, there’s a very good chance we’ll make you go somewhere the dogs are allowed…because why leave them home when they can be living and loving the world with us!
I started this list a couple of years ago of indoor places that are dog friendly for the colder months. Just because it’s icky outside doesn’t mean the dogs have to stay home!
Quest Outdoors
Quest is such a fun location to visit with your dog. They sell hiking gear for your pup, almost all of the employees have cookies to share, there’s a couch to relax on, and a coffee shop on the bottom floor.
Base Camp Coffee
This shop is located inside Quest Outdoors and has some of the best coffee I’ve had in Louisville. Sip on a bourbon vanilla latte while you check your emails with your pup laying under the table!
Cabela’s
Cabela’s sells dog gear for the outdoors, has fish for the pups to look at, and the employees will definitely give scratches.
Duluth Trading
They sell outdoor gear for your pup and all of the employees love to meet dogs at Duluth.
3rd Turn Brewing
This brewery is a remodeled church that you can try amazing local beers, sit on the couch with your pup, and eat whatever food you want to bring with you. They frequently host dog specific events to benefit local shelters and rescues. The last Wednesday of every month is Yappy hour from 7-9. (dogs only at the Jeffersontown location)
Great Flood Brewing
This brewery is an awesome location to try some local beers, sit on the couch with your pup, and even do trivia on certain nights. They also frequently host dog specific events to benefit local shelters and rescues.
The Pearl of Germantown
The Pearl is an adorable hole in the wall bar in Germantown that loves to meet your pups.
Flame Run
(they LOVE dogs, caution though lots of breakables)
