Helping Shelter Dogs Smile: Dilla
Dilla was a super fun field trip pup and our first Dapper in the City dog. Our local shelter has their normal “Adopt Me” bandanas but we wanted to show potential adopters what these pups could really look like in their life. We purchased two holiday bandanas to help the dogs feel extra good lookin’. The Yuletide bandana really brought out Dilla’s eyes.
Our first stop was our favorite dog friendly location in Louisville, Quest Outdoors. Dilla was friendly with everyone, walked so well on a leash, and wanted all the cuddles and scratches on the couch. The Quest employees are always great about loving on the dogs and handing out treats. Their customers love to ask about the pups and it’s a great way to get the word out about adoptable at Louisville Metro Animal Services!
Next up, we went to Brown’s Park for some walking in the leaves and looking at the ducks. Dilla met a few more people and charmed them with her adorable smile.
Lastly, we hit Wendy’s, because come on…cheeseburgers. Dilla was gentle taking her burger and slept during all the car rides.
As of this post, I can happily say that Dilla has been adopted and found her forever family!
